Wood therapy at our Bognor clinic

Wood therapy uses shaped wooden tools as well as the hands. At our Bognor clinic, your therapist works with rollers, cups and contoured paddles over areas such as the thighs, bottom, stomach and arms, with strokes that follow the lymphatic system. It is designed to encourage lymphatic drainage and can leave the body feeling lighter and the skin looking smoother for a short time.

A session is 70 minutes and costs £75, listed as Wood Therapy Body Contouring. Because it uses firmer pressure, it pairs well with our lymphatic drainage massage, which uses very light hand movements and starts at £45 for 30 minutes. Your therapist can combine the two in a plan.

After liposuction or other body surgery, wood therapy is not used in the early weeks. It can form part of your aftercare once your wounds have fully healed, the swelling has settled and your surgeon has agreed. Until then, gentle lymphatic drainage through our post-operative care, led by Sharon, is the better choice.
