At our Petersfield clinic, wood therapy is a 70 minute body treatment. Oil is applied, then your therapist works over each area with shaped wooden tools, following the direction of lymph flow. The pressure is firmer than a relaxation massage and is adjusted to what feels comfortable for you.

The treatment is designed to encourage lymphatic drainage, ease the feeling of puffiness and leave the skin looking smoother for a short time. Each tool is shaped for a different part of the body, allowing firm, even pressure over larger areas such as the thighs, bottom, stomach, arms and back. Any change is temporary, and results vary from person to person.

Wood Therapy Body Contouring is £75 a session, and it is often booked as a series. The treated areas may feel warm and look slightly pink afterwards, and some people bruise lightly after a first session, but there is no downtime. After body surgery, wood therapy waits until your wounds have fully healed, the swelling has settled and your surgeon has agreed.
