SkinPen Precision is a medical microneedling pen made by Crown Aesthetics. Fine, sterile needles create thousands of tiny channels in the skin, which sets off its natural repair process and encourages new collagen and elastin over the following weeks, with no heat, laser or chemicals. In 2018 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a US regulator, authorised SkinPen as the first microneedling device to improve the appearance of facial acne scars in adults aged 22 and over. Compared with standard microneedling, our practitioners find one SkinPen session often does the work of around three, and clients tend to see results sooner. An FDA first
In 2018 SkinPen Precision became the first microneedling device authorised by the US FDA, a US regulator, to improve the appearance of facial acne scars in adults aged 22 and over. A later FDA clearance added neck wrinkles.
Sterile, single-use cartridges
Every treatment begins with a new, sealed cartridge of 14 fine needles. It is used for you alone, and a lock-out feature stops a used cartridge from being fitted again.
Precise, consistent treatment
Depth is set from 0 to 2.5 mm in quarter millimetre steps, gentler around delicate skin and deeper where scarring sits, and the needles move at a constant speed for even, controlled treatment.
Who SkinPen is for
SkinPen suits most skin types and tones. We use it for acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged-looking pores and fine lines on the face and neck, and for scars and stretch marks on the body. It is not suitable over active acne or broken skin, and your practitioner will check it is right for you at your consultation.
A planned course, rather than a single treatment
SkinPen works by prompting your skin to renew itself, and that process builds gradually over weeks. A planned course, with treatments about four weeks apart, gives your skin time to respond between sessions and lets your practitioner tailor each treatment to how your skin is changing.

Courses are prepaid treatment programmes, valid for 12 months from purchase. Klarna is available where offered through our payment system, subject to eligibility.

What to Expect
Preparation
Avoid retinol, acids and other active skincare for a week before. No sun exposure, fake tan or waxing on the area for two weeks. Arrive with clean skin and no make-up.
Your Treatment
Numbing cream is applied first. The SkinPen device is passed over the skin in sections using a fresh sterile cartridge, with the depth adjusted for each area. A calming serum is applied afterwards. Allow 20-45 minutes depending on the areas treated.
Aftercare
The skin looks pink to red, like mild sunburn, for 24-72 hours and may feel tight or dry for a few days. No make-up for 24 hours, gentle skincare only, and SPF every day. Results build over the following weeks as new collagen forms.
