Brow Lift with Mr Darryl Coombes
A low or heavy brow can make the eyes look hooded, tired or cross, even when the eyelids themselves are fine. A brow lift raises the brow to open up the eye area.
A temporal brow lift focuses on the outer part of the brow, which often drops first, and is carried out through small incisions in the hairline at the temples.
Mr Coombes operates at Eastergate Medical Aesthetics, inside Eastergate Medical Centre on Barnham Road, a short drive from Chichester, Bognor Regis and Arundel, with free on-site parking. If you live near Petersfield or elsewhere in Hampshire, your consultation and surgery are at Eastergate, and your aftercare can be at our Petersfield clinic.
Who it may suit
It may suit you if your brows sit low or heavy over your eyes. Because hooded eyelids and a low brow can look similar, Mr Coombes will check which is the cause and may suggest an upper blepharoplasty instead, or as well.

Recovery after your brow lift
Some swelling and bruising is expected at first and settles over the following weeks. Mr Coombes will explain how to look after yourself and when you can return to work.
Mr Coombes recommends that his patients see Sharon, our post-operative care specialist, from seven days after surgery for gentle lymphatic drainage, then weekly until you are happy with how the swelling has settled. Sessions can be at our Chichester, Petersfield or Bognor clinics.
As with any surgery, there are risks, including bleeding, infection, bruising, swelling, changes in sensation, scarring, asymmetry and, occasionally, the need for further treatment. Mr Coombes will explain the risks that apply to you at your consultation.
