Lower / Pinch Blepharoplasty with Mr Darryl Coombes
Loose, crepey skin beneath the lower lashes can make the eyes look tired. A lower, or pinch, blepharoplasty removes a small amount of this excess skin, with the scar placed just beneath the lashes.
A pinch blepharoplasty treats loose skin only. If puffiness under your eyes is caused by fat or fluid, Mr Coombes will explain whether a different approach, or a non-surgical treatment, would suit you better.
Mr Coombes operates at Eastergate Medical Aesthetics, inside Eastergate Medical Centre on Barnham Road, a short drive from Chichester, Bognor Regis and Arundel, with free on-site parking. If you live near Petersfield or elsewhere in Hampshire, your consultation and surgery are at Eastergate, and your aftercare can be at our Petersfield clinic.
Who it may suit
It may suit you if you have a small amount of loose skin under your eyes. Mr Coombes will examine you and tell you honestly what is likely to help.

Recovery after your lower / pinch blepharoplasty
Some swelling and bruising is expected at first and settles over the following weeks. Mr Coombes will explain how to care for the area and when you can return to work.
Mr Coombes recommends that his patients see Sharon, our post-operative care specialist, from seven days after surgery for gentle lymphatic drainage, then weekly until you are happy with how the swelling has settled. Sessions can be at our Chichester, Petersfield or Bognor clinics.
As with any surgery, there are risks, including bleeding, infection, bruising, swelling, changes in sensation, scarring, asymmetry and, occasionally, the need for further treatment. Mr Coombes will explain the risks that apply to you at your consultation.
